To comprehensively enhance undergraduates' professional competence, promote the cultivation of international talents, and broaden students' global perspectives, 20 undergraduate students of the 2024 cohort from the School of Resources and Earth Sciences at China University of Mining and Technology participated, under the guidance of Professor Liu Jingjing from the Department of Geology, in a geological field practice at Macquarie University in Australia from August 12 to 21, 2025, traveling across the Pacific to Sydney and its surrounding areas.

Under the supervision of Professor Simon George from Macquarie University, our Professor Liu Jingjing, and Dr. Inna Kampoli, the internship team conducted field investigations at the Sydney Basin and several other classic geological sites in its vicinity.
