Zheng Ao,Male, born in January 1992 in Liaoyuan, Jilin Province. He holds a postgraduate education, a doctoral degree, and is a Tenure-Track Associate Professor. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Geophysics from Jilin University in 2014; obtained a Doctoral degree in Solid Earth Geophysics from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2019; engaged in postdoctoral research at the University of Science and Technology of China and Southern University of Science and Technology from 2019 to 2021; and served as a Special Research Assistant at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2022 to 2025. His main research interests are seismology, including: imaging of large earthquake rupture processes, prediction of seismic hazard characteristics, and seismic risk assessment. He presides over three projects: the Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the First-Class General Funding of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. As a core researcher, he participates in multiple projects such as National Key R&D Program Projects and General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published more than 10 academic papers in journals such as Geophysical Research Letters, Geophysical Journal International, Tectonophysics, Pure and Applied Geophysics, and Chinese Journal of Geophysics.
