Wang Yang,male,born in February 1989,native of Jurong,Jiangsu. Ph.D,Pre-tenure Professor,Doctoral Supervisor,Deputy Director of the Department of Geology (in charge of scientific research and postgraduate activities). He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology in 2011; visited the Pennsylvania State University,USA,from 2014 to 2016 sponsored by the China Scholarship Council; and graduated from China University of Mining and Technology in June 2017 with a Ph.D. in Geological Resources and Geological Engineering. His thesis was selected as one of the 100 Excellent Doctoral Dissertations in Jiangsu Province in 2018. He was selected as one of the 11th batch of Youth Academic Leaders of China University of Mining and Technology.

He is mainly engaged in teaching and scientific research in unconventional oil and gas and coal geology. He has presided over 3 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects (2 General Programs,1 Youth Program),1 sub-project of Key R&D Program of Xinjiang Autonomous Region,Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program,China Postdoctoral Science Foundation project,and over 30 enterprise horizontal research projects. He has published over 60 SCI/EI papers,including 20 SCI papers as the first author/corresponding author,and one SCI paper was selected as an ESI (TOP 1%) highly cited paper. His SCI papers have been cited over 900 times. He has published 2 academic monographs. He serves as the Guest Editor of special issues for SCI journals Processes and Fractal and Fractional,and as a Youth Editorial Board Member of Coal Science and Technology. He is also a reviewer for SCI journals such as Fuel,Energy & Fuels,and Marine and Petroleum Geology.
