Zhang Gailing,female,born in December 1963 in Wuhu,Anhui Province,holds a doctoral degree in "Geological Resources and Geological Engineering". She is a professor,a member of the International Association of Engineering Geology and Environment,a member of the International Mine Water Association (IMWA),and a member of the Rock Engineering Design Methods Branch of the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering.

Main research directions: Study on geological and hydrogeological issues in coal mine engineering: Safety evaluation of waterproof coal and rock pillars for coal mining under aquifers,study on chemical grouting treatment mechanism for sudden water disasters,and research on high-pressure mechanical properties of deep soil.
