Hu Zhenqi,a male from Wuhe,Anhui,is a member of the Communist Party of China and a CAE Member. He is a professor and doctoral supervisor. From 1980 to 1984,he studied in the Department of Coal Geology at China University of Mining and Technology,obtaining a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in July 1984 and July 1987 respectively. In July 1987,he stayed at the university to work and pursue a doctoral degree. In August 1991,he graduated from China University of Mining and Technology with a doctoral degree. From February 1989 to May 1991,he served as a visiting scholar (jointly training doctoral students) in the Department of Mining at Southern Illinois University. From September 1996 to September 1997,he served as a visiting researcher at the Royal Society at the Camborne School of Mines,University of Exeter,UK. In January 1997,he was exceptionally promoted to professor. His main research directions include land reclamation and ecological reconstruction in mining areas; mining environment and contaminated land remediation; and land resource utilization and management.
