Shi Rui,male,born in August 1990,native of Changzhi,Shanxi. Ph.D,Pre-tenure Associate Professor,Master's Supervisor. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Coal and Coalbed Methane Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology in 2014,and graduated from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) with a Ph.D. in Engineering in Mineral Prospecting and Exploration in 2020. During this period,he was jointly trained at the Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics,Chinese Academy of Sciences (2016-2018) and the Pennsylvania State University,USA (2019-2020). From 2021 to 2023,he engaged in postdoctoral research at the Geological Resources and Geological Engineering Postdoctoral Station of China University of Mining and Technology. Main research directions: Unconventional natural gas accumulation,reservoir evaluation,development and numerical simulation.

As the first author,he has published multiple SCI papers in mainstream international journals such as SPE Journal,International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences,and International Journal of Coal Geology. He has been authorized 2 invention patents. In recent years,he has presided over 7 vertical and horizontal research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation Youth Project and the First-class General Funding of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. As a backbone,he participated in 1 key special project of intergovernmental international scientific and technological innovation cooperation under the National Key R&D Program,4 National Natural Science Foundation General Projects,and multiple enterprise science and technology projects. He currently serves as a Youth Editorial Board Member of the Chinese EI journal Coal Geology & Exploration.
