High-Level Postgraduate Program

The ‘High-Level Postgraduate Program’ is a sub-program of the ChineseGovernment Scholarship Program. The program is based on theprinciples of "individual application, institutional recommendation,expert assessment and selection on the basis of merit", and selectsinternational students with excellent academic background, outstandingprofessional ability and future development potential. A brief descriptionof the program is as follows:

I. Target students:

Full-time master’s and doctoral students for the September intake,2026.

II. Majors：

For specific information about the majors, please refer to theattachment《附件1-中国矿业大学2026-2027学年CSC高水平研究生项目招生专业Available Majors for 2026-2027 CSC High LevelPostgraduate Program》.

III. Eligibility:

lBe a citizen of a country other than the People's Republic ofChina and be in good health both mentally and physically;

lBe a bachelor's degree holder under the age of 35 when applyingfor master's programs;

lBe a master's degree holder under the age of 40 when applying fordoctoral programs;

lHave acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4 whenapplying for Chinese taught master's or doctoral programs;

lMeet the admission requirements of the applied universities interms of academic ability, language proficiency and other relevant

criteria.

Ⅳ.Scholarship:

The specific details of scholarship are subject to the informationpublished on the "CSC Study in China" website (www.campuschina.org).

Ⅴ.Application Documents：

1. Copy of Passport Home Page.If the validity of the applicant’s currentpassport does not meet the requirement (meaning the passport expiresbefore September 2026), please apply for a new passport beforesubmitting the application.

2. Notarized highest diploma.Prospective diploma winners must submitofficial proof of student status by their current school. Documents inlanguages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarizedChinese or English translations.

3. Academic transcripts (from the undergraduate program onwards).Copies of academic records from first to last semester during theundergraduate, graduate (if any), and doctoral programs (if any) shall beprovided. These transcripts shall be issued and sealed by the attendinguniversity’s academic affairs office, graduate school, or studentmanagement department. They can be in Chinese or English, but must beattached with notarized English translations if they are in foreignlanguages other than English.

4. Language qualification certificates.Applicants for Chinese-taughtprograms must submit a valid HSK 4 report. Applicants forEnglish-taught programs shall provide IELTS ≥ 6.0 or TOEFL ≥ 85 orDuolingo ≥ 110 reports.

5. Pre-admission Notice.Applicants shall submit the application via theCSC system first. A pre-admission notice will be sent to the proposedcandidates upon completion of all review procedures.

6. A study plan proposal. A study plan written in Chinese or Englishshall contain more than 1,000 characters or words; the proposal of adoctoral student shall be signed by the applicant’s Chinese supervisor.

7. Recommendation letters.Two letters of recommendation (writtenonly in Chinese or English) from professors or associate professors shallbe submitted. These letters shall describe the applicant’s objectives oflearning in China, comprehensive abilities, and evaluation of futuregrowth, as well as the cooperation between the supervisors or theexchange between universities both in China and abroad.

8. Acceptance Letter.(Download format《附件2-中国矿业大学国际学生招生推荐表、导师接收函Acceptance Letter Format》). Applicants fora Master's or PhD degree are advised to provide a letter of acceptancefrom a professor in our university. The contacts of supervisors can be

9.A photocopy of theForeigner Physical Examination Formcompleted in English (the original copy shall be kept by the applicant).The form is designed by the Chinese quarantine authority and can beobtained from the dispatching authority. The physical examinations mustcover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form.Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attendingphysician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of theapplicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take a physicalexamination as the result is valid for only 6 months.

10. Non-criminal record report.The applicant shall submit a validcertificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public securityauthority, usually be issued within 6 months prior to the submission dateof the application.

11. Applicants under the age of 18 should submit the valid documents oftheir legal guardians in China.

Reminder: Uploaded supporting documents must be clear, authentic andvalid. Applicants are recommended to use a professional device to scanthe relevant documents. Applicants shall bear the consequences caused byunclear or unidentifiable uploaded materials.

Ⅵ.Application Process:

1. Application Online

⑴Visit "CSC Study in China" website and click "ScholarshipApplication for Students" athttp://www.campuschina.org

⑵Input Personal Details, and select Program Category "Type B". TheAgency Number of China University of Mining and Technology is10290.

⑶Move on to the section of “Language Proficiency and Study Plan” andupload “Supporting Documents” as requested, then click “Submit” tocomplete the application.

⑷Once submitted, amendments cannot be made on “Personal Details”and “Application Information”. Before the application is processed by theprocessing authorities, applicants can revoke the submitted application byclicking “Withdraw” and edit the application. After revoking theapplication, applicants must submit it again after re-editing, or theapplication will not be processed. Once the application is processed, theapplication cannot be revoked.

⑸Click “Print the Application Form” and download the form.

2. Exam Arrangement

After the applicant's information is approved, CUMT will notify theapplicant by email about the exam or interview. Please make you’re youremail address is correct and check your email regularly so that do not tomiss the notice of exam arrangement.

3. Admission

Applicants can check the admission results in the "Chinese GovernmentScholarship Information System".Applicants are not currently required toapply on the university's application system.Successful CSC scholarshiprecipients will receive separate notification from the university regardingthe procedure for completing their information registration in theuniversity system. Applicants who are not awarded the CSC scholarshipbut still wish to enroll at our institution may apply through the universitysystem for self-funded admission or university scholarship opportunities.
